Description:
Salesforce is looking for a Manager of Public Affairs and Strategic Relations to oversee our stakeholder engagement program in Washington, D.C.- Manage the execution of Salesforce’s stakeholder engagement strategy to support primarily U.S. federal and state policy goals, including maintaining the plan to map potential allies, opponents, validators, and messengers.- Extensive background in executing advocacy, public policy, trade association, business development, or coalition-building initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• - Manage the execution of Salesforce’s stakeholder engagement strategy to support primarily U.S. federal and state policy goals, including maintaining the plan to map potential allies, opponents, validators, and messengers.
• - Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with key advocacy organizations, think tanks, independent experts, and trade groups.
• - Represent Salesforce in external forums with third parties, such as briefings with partners, conferences, and private roundtables.
• - Execute tactics to build and strengthen Salesforce’s profile with key third-party stakeholders.
• - Partner with experts and organizations in areas of policy alignment on core public policy issues to advance Salesforce’s policy objectives.
Qualifications:
• - Extensive background in executing advocacy, public policy, trade association, business development, or coalition-building initiatives.
• - Proven experience managing high-stakes third-party engagement efforts and coalitions around complex public-policy issues.
• - Demonstrated understanding of the tech sector.
• - Familiarity with the operational aspects of advocacy campaigns within federal and/or policy environments.
• - Ability to work effectively and navigate competing incentives across political and ideological lines.
