Description:
Quality and Innovation Policy Analyst serves as a trusted subject matter expert and advisor regarding complex public policy developments that affect essential hospitals.Function as the principal content expert on specific policy issues in the portfolio, including Medicare quality measures, workforce policy, alternative payment models, and AI/technology investments for hospitals.A minimum of 3 years of related policy experience, indicative of demonstrated competencies in federal health care policy and/or government relations related to health care advocacy.
Responsibilities:
• Function as the principal content expert on specific policy issues in the portfolio, including Medicare quality measures, workforce policy, alternative payment models, and AI/technology investments for hospitals. • Identify, craft, and advance policy positions, collecting information from members of America's Essential Hospitals as needed, to further the association's regulatory advocacy efforts. • Lead the drafting of comment letters, policy briefs, and position papers on federal policy issues relevant to essential hospitals. • Summarize, write, and present written policy analysis findings in a clear and concise manner through website content, email alerts for members, and other communications. • Analyze data models to measure the impact of proposals and alternatives. • Communicate policy and regulatory updates and analysis through bi-weekly government relations conference calls, periodic webinars, and other meetings.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 3 years of related policy experience, indicative of demonstrated competencies in federal health care policy and/or government relations related to health care advocacy. • Bachelor's degree in health policy, public policy, health administration, or other relevant field required; master's or other advanced degree strongly preferred. • Strong understanding of the regulatory policy process.
