Description:
CCIA seeks a Policy Manager to join its team. The Policy Manager will become an integral part of the Association’s topical policy team, focused on subject matter including AI infrastructure, energy, and telecommunications regulation.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: consistently monitoring and informing Association members of legal and regulatory developments in technology policy, and synthesizing member perspectives and building consensus around policy positions that align with the Association’s mission; preparation of filings and briefs in relevant proceedings aimed at advancing the Association’s public policy positions; collaborating across the Association’s functional teams to ensure the effective delivery of Association’s public policy perspectives to relevant audiences; and supporting the Association’s federal and state government relations teams’ substantive engagement with policymakers and other important stakeholders (lobbyist registration may be required).Minimum 4 years experience as policy practitioner/expert, or equivalent practical experience working in government, industry, or an NGO; demonstrated ability to independently execute multiple projects while managing diverse stakeholder interests; strategic and critical thinking skills and a self-starting personality to work autonomously toward policy objectives in the absence of specific direction; excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in writing to audiences with varying levels of subject matter expertise.
