Description:
Chamber of Progress, a center-left tech industry association devoted to technology’s progressive future, is seeking a Director of State and Local Government Relations.Engage with state and local elected and appointed officials throughout the Northeast region on the organization’s policy agenda, Build relationships with Democratic policymakers and elected officials, Testify before policymakers and organize policy events, Work closely and strategize with partner company government relations counterparts, Represent the organization among state and local officials on technology policy issues, financial policy, and civic innovation.Bachelor’s degree, Minimum of 8 years of post-college work experience, Willingness and flexibility to travel regularly for work, Aggressive mindset and bias toward action, Professional public speaking experience, Experience in Democratic politics or progressive causes, Experience in lobbying or working in state or local government, Outstanding writing abilities, Prior experience driving a policy or regulatory campaign, Must be located anywhere in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic region.
Responsibilities:
