Description:
Philanthropy Roundtable seeks a strategic, dynamic, and experienced Vice President of Policy and Government Affairs to lead our policy efforts and represent the interests of private philanthropy at the federal, state, and local levels.Policy Strategy & Advocacy, Government Relations, External Relations & Thought Leadership, Team Leadership & Development10+ years of experience in policy, government affairs, or advocacy, Proven success in strategic advocacy and relationship-building with government officials, stakeholders, and industry leaders
Responsibilities:
• In partnership with leadership, develop and execute a comprehensive policy and government affairs strategy to protect and promote private philanthropy and the pro-growth policies that make philanthropy possible.
• Lead the team’s efforts to monitor, analyze, and respond to emerging policy issues affecting philanthropy, including tax, regulatory, and legislative proposals.
• Represent Philanthropy Roundtable with our donor community, policymakers, partner organizations and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• Exceptional political acumen and the ability to navigate complex legislative and regulatory environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences, from policymakers to donors and the general public.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience building and managing high-performing teams.
