Description:
The Vice President of Government Affairs serves as a senior leader responsible for advancing CTA’s federal policy, political engagement, and advocacy strategy.Strategic Government Affairs Leadership, Policy Development and Advocacy, Political Affairs and PAC Leadership, Event Space and Stakeholder Engagement, Organizational Leadership, CES Government Engagement, External Partnerships, Professional Leadership, Other DutiesMinimum 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in government affairs, public policy, congressional relations, or federal regulatory engagement.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as one of CTA’s principal advocates on Capitol Hill and with the White House, representing the organization and its members on key policy priorities.
• Develop and execute federal advocacy strategies that advance the interests of the consumer technology industry.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Members of Congress, congressional staff, administration officials, and regulatory agencies.
• Monitor and analyze federal legislative and regulatory developments and advise CTA leadership and members on potential impacts.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in government affairs, public policy, congressional relations, or federal regulatory engagement.
• Experience working in Congress, the Executive Branch, a trade association, or within the technology sector strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of leadership or management experience overseeing teams or major initiatives.
