Description:
Regional Manager of State & Local Government Relations – West RegionDevelop, implement, and manage global trade compliance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to U.S. and international trade laws (e.g., EAR, ITAR, OFAC, customs regulations).Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and manage global trade compliance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to U.S. and international trade laws (e.g., EAR, ITAR, OFAC, customs regulations). • Develop and implement a bonded storage strategy to optimize duty deferral, improve inventory control, and ensure compliance with customs regulations for goods stored in bonded warehouses. • Monitor and interpret changes in trade regulations and assess their impact on the business. Ensure timely updates to internal policies and training materials. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Legal, Supply Chain Management, Delta Logistics Control Center) to integrate compliance requirements into business processes. • Conduct trade compliance risk assessments and audits. Identify gaps and implement corrective actions to mitigate compliance risks. • Oversee the execution of export/import documentation, classification of goods (HTS, ECCN), and maintenance of accurate trade documentation.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience • Strong leadership and communication skills • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
