Description:
The Asian Law Caucus (ALC) seeks a Senior Staff Attorney to join its Immigrant Justice Program at a critical moment for immigrant communities.Advocating for immigrants’ rights through impact litigation, community-centered legal advocacy, and representation of individual clients in habeas petitions, and bond and removal proceedings.Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and admission to the California State Bar; 3+ years of experience in immigration law and policy; strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
• Advocate for immigrants’ rights through impact litigation, community-centered legal advocacy, and representation of individual clients in habeas petitions, and bond and removal proceedings.
• Develop and implement effective legal strategies to protect and promote the rights of immigrant communities.
• Collaborate with community-based organizations, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders to advance immigrant justice goals.
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and admission to the California State Bar.
• 3+ years of experience in immigration law and policy.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
