Description:
National Organizer of CampaignsProvide strategic leadership and coordination for translocal housing justice campaigns across the Right to the City Alliance.4-6 years of base-building and organizing experience in housing, tenant, or aligned justice movements
Responsibilities:
• Lead and facilitate national member spaces where organizations come together to develop shared strategy, coordinate campaigns, and build alignment across the alliance.
• Design and advance campaigns: Support member organizations in developing and coordinating campaigns that build tenant power, expand tenant protections, and advance decommodification strategies such as social housing and community ownership;
• Assess and strengthen strategy: Provide strategic analysis and tools, including corporate landlord research, policy analysis, and legislative tracking, to evaluate conditions, inform campaign decisions, and strengthen impact.
• Assess political conditions, organizing capacity, and power-building opportunities across member geographies to identify strategic opportunities for coordinated action.
• Foster cross-site learning by supporting members to share organizing strategies, campaign tactics, and lessons learned from their local fights.
• Support the development of durable tenant infrastructure by helping members strengthen tenant unions, tenant associations, and other base-building formations.
