Description:
Clean Air Task Force (CATF) is seeking a Europe Policy Manager to play an important role in the implementation of CATF’s methane strategies to reduce emissions from major emitting sectors across the European continent.Develop and advocate for policies that promote methane reduction in partnership with CATF’s MPP team, CATF’s advocacy and communications teams, and other teams operating in the region.BSc/BA required; MSc/MA or other advanced degree preferred; 5+ years of relevant professional work experience; Thorough knowledge of EU climate policy; Proven expertise in methane mitigation (professional or educational); Knowledge of EU institutions and legislative system
Responsibilities:
• Develop new or updated policies that are effective and appropriate for the respective governmental jurisdiction, in collaboration with MPP sectoral lead, MPP technical staff, and other key internal and external stakeholders.
• Assess the policy and political efficacy of existing or new policy recommendations developed externally to CATF.
• Draft and present regulatory comments and amendments as part of the policy assessment and development process.
• Identify opportunities, priorities, and methods to answer policy-relevant questions through research and analysis based on stakeholder needs.
• Directly undertake, support, or oversee analytic work related to policy assessment and advocacy, supporting coordination with MPP technical staff.
