Description:
Manager, Coal Mine MethanePolicy Analysis, Assessment, and Development, Advocacy and Capacity Strengthening, Technical Analysis, Writing, and Communication, Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships, Operational SupportBSc/BA required; MSc/MA or other advanced degree preferred. 6+ years of relevant professional work experience in/with the coal industry.
Responsibilities:
• Possess and gain deeper familiarity with technical, economic, market, and policy issues related to CMM and its mitigation.
• Collaborate with MPP technical staff, consultants, and other key stakeholders to develop new or updated CMM Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) protocols and coal sector policies.
• Identify opportunities, priorities, and methodologies to answer policy‑relevant CMM questions through research and analysis based on stakeholder needs.
• Draft and present regulatory comments to stakeholders as part of the policy assessment process, and support regulators in the implementation of mitigation policies.
• Assess the policy and political efficacy of existing or new policy proposals developed externally to CATF.

• Strong negotiation skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Extensive and thorough technical writing capabilities for varied purposes and audiences with varied CMM knowledge.
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
