Description:
The Executive Director of the Coalition for Sensible Public Records Access (CSPRA) serves as the organization’s chief executive and lead advocate.Advocacy & Legislative Support, Strategic Leadership & Planning, Association & Member Management, Issue Paper Development & Policy Analysis, Communications & MarketingDemonstrated experience in legislative advocacy, lobbying, or government relations, Strong knowledge of U.S. state and federal privacy law, including data broker regulation, and public records/FOIA frameworks
Responsibilities:
• Serve as CSPRA’s primary advocate and representative before state and federal legislatures, regulatory agencies, and policy bodies.
• Formulate and execute lobbying strategies aligned with CSPRA priorities and Executive Committee direction.
• Track, analyze, and interpret state and federal legislation and regulations related to public records access, FOIA and transparency laws, and privacy law, with emphasis on data broker regulation and oversight.
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in legislative advocacy, lobbying, or government relations.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. state and federal privacy law, including data broker regulation, and public records/FOIA frameworks.
