Description:
Enterprise Community Partners is seeking a strong leader to join our federal policy team to oversee, manage, and lead Enterprise’s bipartisan federal advocacy focused on rental assistance.Oversee, manage, and lead our growing portfolio of rental assistance policy work. Manage relationships with a range of partners, both internal and external, including other Enterprise departments, members of Congress, federal agencies, national organizations, affordable housing developers and owners, community-based organizations, public sector agencies, and private funding organizations.Undergraduate degree in public policy, economics, urban planning, real estate, or related field required. Master’s degree is highly preferred. 10+ years of experience working with federal, state, or local housing policy, ideally with a focus on rental assistance.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee, manage, and lead our growing portfolio of rental assistance policy work.
• Manage relationships with a range of partners, both internal and external, including other Enterprise departments, members of Congress, federal agencies, national organizations, affordable housing developers and owners, community-based organizations, public sector agencies, and private funding organizations.
• Work in partnership across Enterprise divisions to inform, develop, and advance policy strategies at the federal, state, and local levels.
• Serve as subject matter expert on rental assistance internally across the organization and externally with partners.
• Leverage programmatic learnings to identify and shape federal policy improvements.
• Coordinate with Enterprise colleagues to pursue media and communications opportunities to effectively communicate Enterprise’s federal policy goals in alignment with our broader rental assistance strategy.
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree in public policy, economics, urban planning, real estate, or related field required.
• Master’s degree is highly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience working with federal, state, or local housing policy, ideally with a focus on rental assistance.
• Experience working with members of Congress and/or federal agencies required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Tenant Based Rental Assistance programs, particularly Housing Choice Vouchers, Project Based Rental Assistance, and other rental assistance programs highly desired.
