Description:
The Sr. Manager, Government Relations leads the organization’s efforts to build, manage, and advance relationships with local, state, and federal government stakeholders.- Develop and execute government relations and advocacy strategies aligned with organizational priorities - Monitor legislative, regulatory, and budget developments affecting the organization’s mission - Analyze policy proposals and prepare briefings, position statements, and testimony - Represent the organization in meetings, hearings, coalitions, and other governmental forums - Build and maintain relationships with elected officials, agencies, and key government staff - Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and government partners - Coordinate policymaker engagement activities, including site visits, briefings, and events - Identify and pursue public funding opportunities such as grants, contracts, and appropriations - Collaborate with internal teams on government funding strategies and compliance requirements - Participate in and coordinate cross-sector coalitions and stakeholder advocacy efforts - Engage board members, leadership, and community stakeholders in advocacy initiatives - Advise leadership on political and regulatory risks, and prepare internal and external policy communications - Perform other duties reasonably related to the position’s key responsibilities and consistent with the employee’s job classification, skills, and training- Associate’s degree - Experience in government relations, public policy, advocacy, or a related role - Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory processes
