Description:
Head of Federal Government Affairs will be responsible for advancing Abridge’s priorities at the federal level.Develop clear policy positions, advocacy strategies, and response plans for priority federal proposals. Manage and coordinate external lobbyists and policy consultants to advance legislative and regulatory objectives.7+ years of experience in federal government affairs, ideally in healthcare, digital health, or technology policy.
Responsibilities:
• Develop clear policy positions, advocacy strategies, and response plans for priority federal proposals.
• Manage and coordinate external lobbyists and policy consultants to advance legislative and regulatory objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with Congressional offices, Federal agencies, and senior agency staff.
• Monitor, analyze, and brief leadership on relevant federal legislation, regulatory activity, and emerging trends in healthcare and AI policy.
• Identify, build, and participate in coalitions with aligned companies, associations, providers, and advocacy organizations.
• Prepare leadership for DC engagements, including background memos and stakeholder maps.
Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in federal government affairs, ideally in healthcare, digital health, or technology policy.
• Strong working knowledge of federal policymaking processes, including legislative and regulatory pathways.
• Experience representing an organization at external policy events or public forums.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts (AI/ML, regulatory frameworks, clinical workflows) into accessible policy narratives.
• Demonstrated experience working with or managing external lobbyists.
• Proven ability to build relationships and credibility with policymakers, staff, and coalition partners.
