Description:
The Senior Congressional Affairs Manager represents the Academy before the U.S. Congress and other organizations within the health care industry.Represent the Organization before U.S. Congress and Health Care Organizations, Participate in Political Activities, Contribute to Team-based Policy DevelopmentBachelor's degree in Political Science, Health Sciences, or a related field is required, Minimum of 5 years of work-related congressional and/or lobbying experience is required
Responsibilities:
• Represent the Academy in business meetings with members of Congress and congressional staff
• Leads the AAN’s outreach to the House Energy and Commerce Committee and Senate HELP Committee
• Coordinates and strategizes with other health care stakeholders to identify common interests and opportunities for collaboration
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Health Sciences, or a related field is required
• Minimum of 5 years of work-related congressional and/or lobbying experience is required
