Description:
The Director, State Public Policy, within Humana’s Government Affairs team, is responsible for shaping and executing state-level policy strategy, with a primary focus on pharmacy-related issues, including pharmacist licensure, pharmacy shared services, pharmacy benefit management (PBM), occupational and facility licensure, and federal preemption.Manage policy areas including pharmacist licensure, pharmacy shared services, PBM, occupational/facility licensure, and federal preemption. Analyze, define, and communicate critical trends in state legislative and regulatory environments; track legislation of interest; identify or predict probable outcomes. Develop regulatory and legislative responses to proposed rules and laws, including comment letters, issue briefs, talking points, white papers, and PowerPoint presentations.Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred). 8+ years in state healthcare policy. 5+ years leading policy development and advocacy deliverables with measurable impact.
