Description:
Capstone is seeking a Director of Energy Policy Research with deep expertise in electricity markets, power generation, and utilities policy.Lead policy and regulatory analysis across electricity markets, utilities, power generation, and grid infrastructureBachelor’s degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred (e.g., Public Policy, Economics, Finance, Energy Systems, or related fields)
Responsibilities:
• Lead policy and regulatory analysis across electricity markets, utilities, power generation, and grid infrastructure • Develop differentiated, forward-looking investment theses informed by legislative, regulatory, and market developments • Serve as a senior thought leader for clients on the evolving U.S. energy and power policy landscape • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with policymakers, regulators, industry executives, and institutional investors • Present research insights directly to hedge funds, asset managers, and other institutional clients • Mentor and oversee junior analysts, helping shape research output and analytical frameworks
