Description:
Avoq is seeking a Vice President to join our Reputation Management team and accelerate our firm’s growth across a diverse grouping of industries, sectors, and issues with a focus on energy expertise.Secure and support the generation or management of a $500K–1.25M annual business portfolio. Serve as a strategic communications leader with deep energy and infrastructure expertise, translating complex regulatory, policy, and market dynamics (utilities, renewables, energy transition) into compelling narratives for media, customers, policymakers, and community leaders.As a qualified candidate, you have experience in all areas below: Securing new business as part of a pitch team. Deep sector expertise in at least one business sector, issue, or policy/regulatory area, using that expertise to elevate the firm externally (speaking opportunities, op-eds/white papers, etc.). Leadership and management across account teams and clients.
Responsibilities:
• Secure and support the generation or management of a $500K–1.25M annual business portfolio.
• Serve as a strategic communications leader with deep energy and infrastructure expertise, translating complex regulatory, policy, and market dynamics (utilities, renewables, energy transition) into compelling narratives for media, customers, policymakers, and community leaders.
• Lead high-impact communications initiatives requiring direct experience in the energy sector, including issues tied to infrastructure, sustainability, and energy market developments.
• Create high-impact strategies and leverage your team to optimize results.
• Lead new business development efforts, including strategy development and pitch-team management.
• Integrate digital/online and planning products into new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
• Securing new business as part of a pitch team.
• Deep sector expertise in at least one business sector, issue, or policy/regulatory area, using that expertise to elevate the firm externally (speaking opportunities, op-eds/white papers, etc.).
• Leadership and management across account teams and clients.
• Time and workload management across multiple assignments and clients, including new business.
• Comprehensive communications strategy development and execution.
