Description:
Weber Shandwick is seeking a curious, ambitious and culturally savvy Vice President to join our team in Washington, D.C. This unique role sits across our growing Corporate and Brand teams, leading high-profile client assignments that require proven experience in corporate reputation, brand strategy and activation, consumer and stakeholder engagement, and integrated media expertise.- **Shape integrated communications** — Shape and execute integrated communications strategies in partnership with agency and client teams - **Counsel clients** — Counsel and interact effectively with clients and leaders at client organizations - **Build media relationships** — Build and maintain excellent relationships with top-tier media across business, national/local broadcast, multicultural and lifestyle verticals - **Monitor media landscape** — Remain immersed in the media and cultural landscape, as well as emerging issues that may impact clients - **Approach with curiosity** — Seek to understand the brand, its competitors, and the broader industry context - **Craft newsworthy stories** — Proactively and reactively craft compelling, newsworthy stories that drive earned coverage - **Develop earned-first plans** — Write high-quality media materials, including pitches, press releases, and messaging documents - **Deliver high-caliber work** — Maintain a client-first mindset with sharp attention to detail - **Collaborate across teams** — Serve as a key contributor across agency and inter-agency partners to deliver cohesive, large-scale campaign work - **Mentor junior talent** — Provide hands-on guidance, feedback, and professional development - **Support new business** — Cultivate and participate in new business opportunities and pitches9–12 years of experience Experience leading integrated teams that collaborate effectively and deliver high-impact outcomes Integrated media project leadership from start to finish Robust earned strategy and media relations experience Experience counseling senior leaders Bachelor’s degree
