Description:
The Social Media Manager plays a critical role in shaping and executing The Heritage Foundation’s social media presence by creating compelling content and engaging audiences across the digital landscape.Manage posting on multiple social media platforms for The Heritage Foundation. Assist in planning, implementing, and managing weekly schedules for all social media content.Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years of digital media experience; previous work in social media and communications for a non-profit, campaign, or Hill office preferred
Responsibilities:
• Manage posting on multiple social media platforms for The Heritage Foundation. • Assist in planning, implementing, and managing weekly schedules for all social media content. • Own platform-specific strategies, ensuring content, tone, and formats are optimized for each social channel. • Create, curate, and promote provocative, compelling, and timely content across all social media channels. • Proactively identify and test new trends in social media, digital content, and traffic opportunities and present them to team members. • Create, manage, and optimize Heritage’s paid social media strategy, including campaign planning, execution, and performance analysis.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree • 3+ years of digital media experience; previous work in social media and communications for a non-profit, campaign, or Hill office preferred • Excellent writing, copy editing, and messaging skills; an articulate advocate of Heritage’s vision and mission • Microsoft Suite, various social media platforms, Adobe
