Chairman Rick Crawford is seeking a highly motivated Staff Assistant/Legislative
Correspondent to join his Washington, D.C. office. A vital part of Washington operations, the Staff Assistant/Legislative Correspondent serves
as the face of the office while providing crucial support throughout the office.
Responsibilities:
• Provide support to the legislative and operations teams as needed, including:
• Conduct legislative research and provide hearing preparation materials
• Attend briefings and monitor committee hearing activity
• Maintain the front office while ensuring incoming meetings and groups are
processed efficiently
• Aid in record-keeping
• Process and draft responses to incoming constituent correspondence, including
phone calls, SMS messaging, emails, and letters
• Coordinate Washington, D.C. area tours and process flag requests
• Assist in the recruitment and coordination of Congressman Crawford’s Washington
internship program
• All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic, an eye for details, and thrive in a fast-paced setting. An interest in Chairman Crawford’s non-intelligence-related committee
assignments (T&I, Agriculture) is preferred. Arkansas ties are preferred but not required.
Preferences and Requirements:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to operate under tight deadlines
• Previous Capitol Hill experience preferred
• Familiarity with CMS platform, IQ
