Description:
Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA), a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, seeks a post-graduate Legal Fellow for a one-year term. Start date is flexible. Applicants must be a recent law school graduate with the ability to secure fellowship funding from their law school or another source. The Office will coordinate as necessary for external funding opportunities identified by applicants.
Responsibilities:
The Legal Fellow will join Senator Schiff's Senate Judiciary Committee team and engage in a range of activities, including vetting and advising on nominations, oversight investigations, conducting legal and policy research, supporting preparation for committee hearings, and supporting policy and legislation development. The Fellow also may collaborate with staff members on policy issues outside the jurisdiction of the Judiciary Committee. Candidates must have strong writing and research skills, experience working in a fast-paced environment, and thrive in a collaborative team. California ties are preferred, but not required.
