Description:
Senator Edward J. Markey (D-MA) seeks a law clerk for the Summer 2026 session to work on judiciary portfolio issues. Applicants must be currently enrolled in law school or have recently graduated from law school.
Responsibilities:
Law clerks are tasked with conducting legal and policy research, preparing briefing materials, writing oversight letters, drafting legislation, and preparing press materials. Projects may cover a range of areas, including immigration, gun violence prevention, civil rights, criminal justice, and voting rights.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates should be entrepreneurial, possess excellent writing skills, and work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Ties to Massachusetts are highly desired.
