Description:
The Office of U.S. Senator Michael Bennet seeks a motivated, detail-oriented Communications Intern for the Summer 2026 term in Washington, D.C. This is a paid position. This internship will begin May 18, 2026, with a flexible end date determined by office needs and the candidate’s availability. A minimum commitment of 24 hours per week is required; however, please note that additional hours may be necessary depending on the legislative schedule and office priorities.
Communications interns will assist with compiling daily press clips, drafting press releases, and supporting the communications team with a wide range of projects. Constituent-facing
Responsibilities:
—such as greeting visitors, answering phones, and conducting Capitol tours—are also core components of the internship. Interns will have the opportunity to meet, network, and work closely with Hill staff; attend congressional briefings and hearings; and complete an independent project. Colorado ties are a plus.
