Description:
Midwest Republican Senator has an opening for a Communications Director.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing a team of communications staff; developing and implementing a comprehensive messaging strategy across traditional and new media platforms; collaborating across departments; acting as a liaison and on-the-record contact with state and national media; writing and editing copy for various forms of public release; and preparing the Senator for media and speaking appearances.
Qualifications:
Applicants should demonstrate superior writing and interpersonal communication, sound judgment, organizational skills, creativity, strategic thinking, strong management skills, and the ability to handle multiple competing deadlines. Candidates should have at least six to ten years of relevant communications experience. Senate, House, or administration experience is preferred.
