Description:
The Office of Senator Adam Schiff is seeking a Law Clerk to work in his Washington, D.C. office for the fall of 2026.
Responsibilities:
Duties include assisting the Senator’s judiciary team with legal and legislative research, memo drafting, oversight work, and preparing the Senator for Senate Judiciary Committee hearings and markups. Candidates must also possess strong writing and analytical skills, legal research skills, and critical thinking skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Candidates must be current law students and be able to work a minimum of 16 hours per week, although full-time is preferred. California ties are preferred, but not required. Applicants may be eligible for a Senate stipend and may earn academic credit – based solely on each institution’s criteria.
