Midwestern Republican Senator seeks a Legislative Assistant to cover all areas of health policy.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include briefing the Senator on health policy matters; representing the Senator in meetings and other communications with constituents, advocates, outside groups, government agencies, etc.; conducting policy-related research and drafting background reports and memoranda; monitoring and analyzing health-related legislative activity in relevant committees and on the Senate floor; and developing, drafting, and working to pass legislation.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a confident, effective briefer and writer with legislative experience in health policy; prior Senate experience is strongly preferred.
