Description:
The Office of Senator Mark Kelly seeks a highly motivated individual for a Legislative Correspondent (LC) position in his Washington, D.C. office. Candidate must be an outstanding writer and have solid analytical and research skills.
Responsibilities:
The LC’s portfolio will include appropriations, banking, budget and economy, campaign and elections reforms, consumer protections, immigration and border security, judiciary, and tax issues and will be responsible for drafting constituent correspondence, conducting policy research, taking constituent meetings, and writing briefing memos. Relevant experience and interest in these policy areas are strongly preferred. An ideal candidate will be a self-starter, possess excellent attention to detail, work independently and meet deadlines, and be motivated to learn and analyze new material on a broad range of topics. Candidates with Arizona ties preferred, and written and verbal Spanish proficiency highly desired.
Qualifications:
This position offers a salary of $55,427 and is eligible for benefits.
