Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) seeks a Constituent Advocate for his office in Pittsburgh.
Responsibilities:
include communicating with constituents statewide; serving as a liaison between Pennsylvanians and federal agencies; managing a casework portfolio as assigned by Constituent Services Director. Opportunity for staff trainings, conferences and other learning opportunities internal to the Senate are free for staff. Excellent interpersonal skills, organization skills, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and to navigate difficult conversations while treating all constituents with dignity and respect are essential. Pennsylvania ties and foreign language skills highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is able to work independently while maintaining their role as part of a team and knows when to seek guidance or elevate to superiors when necessary. The position reports to the Constituent Services Director, who is based in Harrisburg.
