Director, Economics and Trade

The U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission is hiring a Director to lead the Economics and Trade team. We are seeking an experienced leader with a record developing high-performing teams; superior research, editing, and communications skills; and deep expertise assessing and advising on the U.S.-China economic relationship, China’s domestic economy, the CCP’s industrial policy and its technology development and goals, and/or China’s economic engagement around the world. The Economics and Trade Team contributes to the U.S.-China policy discussion in Washington by conducting forward-leaning research and analysis and serving as a trusted resource to Congress. The team's portfolio spans China’s domestic economy, financial system, and evolving policy and regulatory landscape, including IP rights, data security, food and product safety, energy, and technology development; China’s economic diplomacy and statecraft; U.S.-China bilateral trade and investment flows; China’s adherence to bilateral and multilateral agreements; export controls; and more.
