Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock—member of the United States Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs and Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Economic Policy and member of the Senate Committee on Finance and Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Trade—seeks an Economic Policy Legislative Assistant to manage his financial services work under the Banking Committee work and, potentially, his trade work under the Finance Committee. This is not an entry level position. Applicants should have experience with and knowledge of current economic policy and legislative issues, including financial services and capital market regulation, trade, small business, and manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
include preparing committee hearing and markup materials, and other briefing memos; staffing the Senator at hearings, meetings, and other events; drafting and developing legislation and amendments; representing the Senator with constituents, Federal agencies, and other outside meetings. Qualified candidates should be strong writers and independent self-starters with strong research and analytical skills, and the ability to produce high-quality work in an extremely fast-paced, highly collaborative and team-oriented environment.
Capitol Hill experience is preferred. Georgia ties are valued, but not a prerequisite. This office is an
