Various Digital Communications Roles

The Senate Democratic Strategic Communications Committee (SCC), chaired by Senator Cory Booker (D-New Jersey), serves as a hub to support Senate Democrats’ messaging and communications efforts. Providing various services to Democratic Senators and their staff, the SCC enhances Senate Democrats’ ability to formulate and advance their agenda through the use of modern communications platforms and techniques. Ahead of the start of the 120th Congress, the SCC is building a bank of resumes to help connect highly-skilled job-seekers with Democratic Senate offices looking to enhance their ability to communicate to audiences using digital media tools. Do you have professional experience that fits the following roles? If so, we’d love to have your current resume on file. Digital Director: Manages a team of digital communicators, and oversees all aspects of social media strategy. Likely has multiple cycles of work experience in digital media. Creative Director: Develops, produces, and directs creative projects and creative strategy. Sets and maintains online voice and visual standards for a given office. Videographer / video editor: Captures compelling video and creates video deliverables using advanced editing skills. Key technical skills include proficiency in operating cameras, lighting, and audio equipment, as well as editing in software like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, and Audition. Social media manager: Drafts and publishes multimedia content optimized for audiences on different social media platforms. Monitors emerging social media trends, understands the language of social media, develops concepts for driving social media engagement, and organizes a content calendar Creator partnerships manager. Builds, manages, and maintains relationships with content creators, online digital partners, and collaborators.
