Description:
The U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission is seeking an individual with superior research, writing, and communications skills to prepare written and oral analyses, support the development and execution of Commission hearings, research and draft portions of the Commission’s Annual Report and other research products, and advise Commissioners and congressional staff. Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is required.
The position is on the Technology and Innovation Team, which covers China’s emerging technology development, including AI and semiconductors, synthetic biology, energy technologies, quantum information sciences, cybersecurity, telecommunications, and autonomy and robotics; China’s industrial and science policy and research ecosystem; and its role in setting technical standards and shaping global technology governance.
The position is based in Washington, DC, and is open to U.S. citizens eligible for a security clearance.
