Description:
Lead the development and execution of federal government relations strategies and tactics to successfully implement legislative and policy goals pertaining to Viatris’ policy and business interests.Federal relations strategy, Advocacy before Congress, Policymaker relationship management, Congressional and Administration engagement, Cross-functional coordination, Legislative analysis, Policy document development, Policy awareness building, Healthcare ecosystem expertise, Internal collaborationBachelor’s degree required; graduate degree (business, legal, policy) preferred. Minimum seven years of experience in federal government affairs or public/health policy; ten or more strongly preferred.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree (business, legal, policy) preferred • Minimum seven years of experience in federal government affairs or public/health policy; ten or more strongly preferred • Industry-related, trade association, lobbying, federal agency, and Capitol Hill experience are desirable • Strong knowledge of federal legislative and regulatory processes, including Medicare, Medicaid, VA, and DOD programs • Demonstrated relationships with policymakers, Congressional committees, key staff, and federal agencies • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to synthesize complex issues and articulate actions persuasively
