Description:
Amazon is seeking a Manager, Public Policy to develop and execute the company’s federal connectivity and accessibility public policy efforts.Develop and execute public policy and advocacy priorities on issues related to federal telecommunications and accessibility policy.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 8+ years of experience in public policy, ability to travel is required.
Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively with the Public Policy team, the business, and legal department to ensure alignment between core business priorities and public policy goals
• Manage and coordinate external advocacy efforts, outreach programs, and initiatives in concert with business objectives
• Anticipate challenges and obstacles that Amazon could face as the public policy landscape evolves
• Participate in associations in relevant Washington-based industry associations
• Ensure effective use of outside consultants
• Facilitate meetings with key stakeholders, including Congressional, regulatory, industry association, and partners to promote and advocate the company’s public policy priorities
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 8+ years of experience in public policy
• Ability to travel is required
