Description:
The Office of Congressman George Whitesides is building a team dedicated to solving the nation's most important problems.
Responsibilities:
Lead and execute the Member's legislative strategy; coalition build around legislative priorities, provide vote recommendations and policy counsel in close coordination with the Chief of Staff. Manage, mentor, and develop legislative staff; set priorities, timelines, and quality control across deliverables. Drive committee work and stakeholder engagement tied to the Congressman's work on HASC and SST, including drafting/advancing legislation, oversight, and coalition-building. Coordinate closely with the District Office and communications team to deliver tangible wins for CA-27 and message them effectively.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated leadership, management, and problem-solving experience. Strong knowledge of House procedure and a track record of securing legislative wins. Hill experience preferred (not required for exceptional candidates).
