Description:
Help tell the story of a district full of strength, resilience, and possibility; and to help elevate the voices and priorities of the people we serve.
Responsibilities:
Drafting press releases, statements, talking points, op-eds, and other communications materials; Managing media relations, including pitching stories, coordinating interviews, and building relationships with reporters; Helping build and guide the office's communications operation, including supervising communications staff; Overseeing social media, digital communications, and broader messaging strategy; Monitoring media coverage and leading rapid response efforts; Advising the Congressman and senior staff on communications strategy and message development
Qualifications:
Strong writing and organizational skills, sound political judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience in communications, journalism, public affairs, or political communications is preferred.
