Description:
Congressman Christian Menefee (TX-18) is seeking a Legislative Assistant position to join his Washington, D.C. team to handle a broad portfolio of policy issues.
Responsibilities:
Researching and advancing legislative and policy priorities; drafting vote recommendations, memos, and talking points; monitoring legislation and floor activity; preparing the Congressman for briefings and external meetings; and representing the office in meetings with constituents, advocates, and stakeholder groups.
Qualifications:
Prior legislative and/or Capitol Hill experience is preferred. Strong familiarity with the appropriations process is required.
