Description:
The Office of Congressman Derek T. Tran seeks a Field Representative with advanced verbal and written Vietnamese fluency to serve constituents in California's 45th Congressional District.
Responsibilities:
•The Field Representative is a strong communicator with a passion for developing a comprehensive community relations strategy for a congressional office; •The Field Representative builds and maintains relationships with targeted communities and identifies, attends, and builds out community engagement events; and •The Field Representative promotes the district office casework assistance functions and relays the Congressman's positions and communications to the community.
Qualifications:
•Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines; •Excellent organization, research, and communications (including public speaking) skills; •Proactive attitude towards pounding the pavement across the district; •Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with others; •Ability to work evening and weekend events; and •Impeccable attention to detail.
