Description:
The Office of Congressman Lou Correa (CA-46) seeks a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Press Assistant/Legislative Correspondent to serve as an integral part of our D.C. office, spearheading and supporting the Congressman's outreach efforts in collaboration with both legislative and communications staff.
Responsibilities:
Assist in intern/fellow management alongside the Communications Director. Oversee administrative tasks in the office and monitor tour operations. Sort and track incoming mail relying on the assistance of interns/fellows, while overseeing the drafting clear and concise letters and ensuring timely and accurate responses using our constituent correspondence system, Indigov. Work alongside the Communications Director to assist in the office's trilingual proactive outreach efforts by writing engaging social copy, making creative digital content (including graphics, videos, newsletters, and 499s, etc.), compiling daily press clips, assisting in maintaining the Congressman's website, and supporting the communications team as needed.
