Description:
Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-02), a senior member of the Washington state delegation and Ranking Member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, seeks a Legislative Correspondent for his personal office. The expected salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000. This is a full-time position, based in Washington, DC, with federal benefits including health, vision, and dental insurance, student loan repayment/tuition assistance, transit/parking benefits, and retirement match.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for managing the constituent correspondence program, including drafting responses, conducting necessary research and overseeing Intranet Quorum. • Overseeing and maintaining an organized constituent mail system. • Researching and drafting constituent correspondence on a wide range of legislative and policy issues with attention to detail. • Ensuring that responses to constituents are clear, accurate and completed in a timely manner. • Interacting with constituents with professionalism and responsiveness. • Tracking metrics and producing weekly reports for the mail program. • Assisting the legislative team and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills and should be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated and work well in a collaborative environment.
