Description:
Paid, in-person internship offering students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in Congress while serving the constituents of Minnesota's Third Congressional District.
Responsibilities:
Answering constituent phone calls and categorizing incoming mail, Arranging and conducting Capitol tours for constituents, Attending congressional hearings, briefings, and meetings, Drafting memos for the Congresswoman and staff, Supporting office operations and special projects, Completing a capstone project to be presented to the office
Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Professionalism and good judgment when interacting with constituents, staff, and visitors, Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, Interest in public service, government, and the legislative process
