Description:
Gain public service experience and insight into Capitol Hill.
Responsibilities:
Taking calls from the district and supporting constituent needs. Attending stakeholder and constituent meetings. Leading tours of the Capital complex for constituents. Writing memos and conducting legislative research. Drafting constituent correspondence. Drafting talking points, press releases, remarks and other written materials. Assisting operations, communications, and legislative staffers with various tasks. Attending congressional hearings and briefings. Greeting office guests, constituents, and stakeholders. Assist with daily office operations, including running errands and processing mail.
Qualifications:
Eagerness to learn, customer service skills, and strong writing skills. MI-13 ties and service industry experience are pluses.
