Description:
The Office of Congressman Mike Quigley (IL-05) is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and personable Staff Assistant for our Washington, DC office.
Responsibilities:
The Staff Assistant serves as the first point of contact for constituents and visitors and
plays a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the front office.
Responsibilities include managing the office’s internship program, overseeing front office
operations, answering and directing phone calls, coordinating and booking tours, greeting
visitors, assisting staff with administrative needs, and supporting office operations as
needed. Additional administrative responsibilities may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Our office is seeking a Staff Assistant who is (1) reliable, will complete tasks without
follow-up; (2) an excellent communicator, both in writing and verbally; and (3) proactive,
always comes forward with solutions to problems. Qualifications:
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional demeanor and outstanding customer service skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Capitol Hill or congressional internship experience preferred
• Ties to Chicago or Illinois are a plus
• Ability to laugh at dad jokes
