Description:
The Office of Congresswoman Nellie Pou seeks a dependable, detail-oriented Constituent
Services Caseworker to join our district team. This role is critical to delivering responsive,
high-quality service to residents across New Jersey’s 9th Congressional District.
The Caseworker will manage a high-volume caseload, assist constituents in navigating
federal agencies, and represent the Congresswoman in the community. This position
requires strong judgment, organization, and a genuine commitment to public service.
Congresswoman Pou represents a diverse, urban district across Passaic, Bergen and
Hudson Counties and is committed to ensuring that every constituent has access to
federal resources and support. Issue Areas (Including not limited to)
• Immigration and visa processing
• Social Security and Medicare
• Veterans afairs
• FEMA and disaster assistance
• IRS
Responsibilities:
• Manage and resolve constituent casework involving federal agencies
• Communicate regularly with constituents regarding case status and outcomes
• Liaise with federal, state, and local agencies to advocate for constituents
• Maintain accurate and timely casework records in accordance with House
standards
• Represent the Congresswoman at community meetings and outreach events
• Identify systemic issues afecting constituents and elevate trends to senior staf
• Maintain local satellite ofice hours.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in a congressional ofice, government, or casework environment
preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Commitment to public service and helping constituents navigate complex systems
• Spanish or another language commonly spoken in NJ-09 is a plus*The Ofice of
