A senior Western Democratic Senator seeks an experienced personal aide, often described as a “body person,” to provide continuous logistical support. On a daily basis, the staffer will accompany the Senator whenever she is working in Washington, DC, and ensure she is fully prepared for each engagement.

include managing time between floor votes, meetings, and media obligations; briefing the Senator on the goals and rationales for upcoming meetings and events; facilitating and accommodating last‑minute schedule shifts; and seamlessly arranging everything from documents to briefings. The ideal candidate brings experience supporting principals at the federal level, understands Senate culture and protocol, has the ability to represent the office professionally with VIPs and stakeholders, and can maintain composure under pressure and absolute confidentiality. The role requires extreme dependability, a natural attention to details, excellent judgment, stamina for occasional long hours, and a cheerful disposition and flexible personality. When the Senator is not in DC (typically 1-2 days per week and during Senate recesses), the staffer will provide ad hoc project support to the Chief of Staff, Legislative Director, and Scheduling Director.
