Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington's 3rd Congressional District is seeking a District Staff Assistant for her Vancouver, WA office.

Providing a welcoming environment and positive first impression of the office to constituents, visitors, and key stakeholders; Managing the front desk and generally contributing to a cheerful and focused environment; Preparing materials for the Member's meetings while in district; Assisting staff in preparing, organizing, and staffing meetings while the Member is in district; Handling incoming calls with poise, professionalism, and promptness; Capturing input from constituents on policy matters for the Member office's consideration and response; Ensuring constituent casework is distributed to appropriate district staff in an efficient and effective manner; Managing programs such as the office internship program, the Congressional App Challenge, and Congressional Art Competition

Outstanding written and oral communications skills; Ability to manage multiple tasks and think critically in a deadline-driven environment; Effective teamwork skills and the ability to support the needs of multiple team members and leaders in the office required; Sharp attention to detail and willingness to learn; Valid driver's license and personal vehicle with auto insurance and excellent driving record; Familiarity with logging, automotive, construction, commercial fishing, or Southwest Washington a strong plus
