Senator Rand Paul is seeking a full-time Staff Assistant in the Bowling Green, Kentucky State Office to handle administrative tasks, answer phones, greet office visitors, distribute mail, and support the Director & other staff. Remote work is not an option. Key

Assists with serving as the first point of contact for visitors, providing exceptional customer service at the front desk and ensuring office visits are logged appropriately. • Answers and directs incoming phone calls, takes messages, and handles constituent inquiries efficiently, ensuring calls are logged & routed appropriately. • Assists with managing incoming mail and email, ensuring correspondence is logged and routed appropriately. • Assists in assessing constituent’s needs and how the office may be able to assist. • Assists in letter drafting. • Acts as support staff assisting with miscellaneous needs/tasks. • Maintains and updates scheduling databases and ensure accurate tracking of the staff’s commitments. • Acts as a point of contact for the Senator’s staff.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and friendly demeanor. • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends. • A professional demeanor and discretion, especially when handling sensitive or confidential matters.
