The Office of Congressman Derek T. Tran seeks an entry-level Staff Assistant to serve constituents in California’s 45th Congressional District. This is a full-time position based in the Cypress, CA office.

Job Expectations • The Staff Assistant maintains the front office, greets visitors, answers the telephone, • responds to constituent requests for general information and other inquiries, helps with • the casework intake process, and oversees the internship program; • The Staff Assistant will also assist with special projects as assigned and occasionally staff • community events; • The Staff Assistant also provides assistance to colleagues as needed. • Required Skills and Knowledge • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet tight • deadlines; • Ability to answer phones and greet constituents in a professional manner; • Excellent organization and communications skills; • Ability to work cooperative and courteously with others; • Ability to work the occasional weekend events; and • Impeccable attention to detail.
